St John Bakery is investing in its pastry team, reporting into the pastry section lead we are looking for a Pastry Baker with real skills, good judgement, and care for the craft.

The role is to make pastries, cakes and other baked goods to a high standard, using the best ingredients and sound technique.

You will need to work neatly, keep pace, and take pride in doing things well.

You'll also be part of a bakery connected to the wider St John restaurant group, with real opportunity to learn from a world-renowned kitchen.

Key Responsibilities Follow recipes and production plans to keep quality steady and standards high.

Finish and present products with care and attention.

Weigh, mix, prove, shape, and bake ingredients accurately.

Watch baking times, temperatures, and product quality closely.

Keep the bakery clean, orderly, and safe at all times.

Work in line with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules.

Keep an eye on stock levels and help with ordering ingredients and supplies.

Reduce waste and rotate stock properly using FIFO principles.
