St John Fisher Catholic Primary school is a one-form entry primary school, in the South of Birmingham. We are looking to appoint a cleaner, to commence as soon as possible. They will be hardworking and committed to providing an excellent cleaning service. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
Duties:
- To arrive for work on time and wear the correct clothing for the tasks you will undertake during your shift.
- To sign in and out of the building.
- To follow a detailed high level cleaning schedule.
- To empty all waste bins and remove to the appropriate rubbish bin outside.
- To clean all surface areas e.g. desk, shelves, filing cabinet etc. without disturbing people or their belongings.
- To clean all interior glass e.g., glass panels in door, partition wall, glass table, reachable windows etc.
- To vacuum/sweep all areas and mop any hard floors.
- Clean male and female toilets, washbasins and tiles etc. Replenish toilet rolls, hand towels and soap dispensers.
- To ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety including putting out safety signs, where necessary.
- To be a team player, covering areas when needed.
- Promote, through good conduct, the ethos and values of the school.
- Report any defects seen which are likely to affect security i.e. broken/cracked windows, etc to the Site Manager.
- Other relevant cleaning jobs around the building and on grounds as directed by the Site Manager and school staff.
