Faculty Lead for Communications (English & Media) - September 2026 in London

FACULTY LEAD FOR COMMUNICATIONS (ENGLISH and MEDIA) – September 2026 or earlier if possible
Leadership / TLR scale depending on skills and experience of the successful candidate
The Governing Board is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of English to lead the English and Media Departments as Head of Faculty from September 2026.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing a challenging curriculum across all subjects and abilities.
Leading the faculty team and modelling good teaching practice.
Working closely with the Senior Leader who line manages the faculty.
Providing bespoke CPD programmes and supporting staff development.
We are looking for an English specialist who can bring a vision for teaching and learning into practice and inspire others through engaging lessons.
St. John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School is a non-selective coeducational secondary school for students age 11–18. Our new world‑class building opened in spring 2023 and we offer free parking.
