The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Fixed Term contract for 12 months.

Job Summary:

The postholder is responsible for the management of major programmes and/or a variety of projects as part of delivering St John’s wider strategic roadmap. The postholder will be a skilled planner and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels. The role sits within the DDAT network and requires digital literacy with managing technology-based programmes and projects as a core remit. The postholder will form strong relationships within DDAT and across the wider networks to bring stakeholders together to solve problems and deliver programmes and projects.

About You:

You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C/4), a minimum of 5 including Maths & English, be qualified in programme and project management (e.g. MSP, APM, PRINCE2, Agile). You should have demonstrable experience of managing complex large programmes and projects (including digital delivery) from concept through to operational use, experience directing and motivating cross-functional teams, and working in structured governance standards (planning, resource management, RAID management, financial management).

About the Role:

  • Create robust programme/project plans, resource plans, financial estimates and milestones; escalate and propose solutions to the Head of Product and Portfolio.
  • Ensure governance to St John Ambulance standards; manage risks, issues and dependencies; provide escalation points and ensure delivery.
  • Establish and attend programme/project boards to report progress, finances, risks and issues; agree owners and actions.
  • Communicate with senior stakeholders and assist in development of business cases and option papers.
  • Lead and oversee programme/project teams; ensure stakeholder involvement and contribution.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for workstreams; mitigate delivery challenges and manage dependencies.
  • Manage third party suppliers, risks, issues and change where appropriate.
  • Lead problem solving and decision-making to deliver workstreams.
  • Lead multi-workstream delivery, identify risks and escalations, foster growth and learning within the team.
  • Manage dependencies across workstreams; re-scope/replan as needed to meet requirements.
  • Manage budget, team and resource allocation; challenge where needed.
  • Identify internal and external dependencies with the Portfolio Manager and wider PMO.
  • Oversee digital delivery and alignment with business strategies; collaborate with developers, infrastructure and test teams to support delivery.
  • Lead on new technology solutions and rollouts; gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions on time and on budget.
  • Maintain understanding of business and technology strategies to align change proposals.
  • Collaborate with system leads to enable use of digital enablers and existing technologies.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the role.
