Job Summary
Join St John Ambulance as a D365 Engineer and play a key role in powering the technology behind our life-saving services. As part of our DevOps team, you’ll support, manage, and continuously enhance our critical platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365. Working closely with the Development Ops Manager and Head of DevOps, you’ll help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that make a real difference. Acting as a technical subject matter expert within our D365 product squads, you’ll collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, colleagues, and third‑party partners to design and deliver impactful solutions that maximise the value of our technology. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment—balancing priorities, meeting deadlines, and ensuring our services remain stable, secure, and fit for purpose while staying up to date with evolving technologies and regulatory requirements.
About You
- Degree in computing (or related field) or equivalent commercial experience, with ITIL Foundation certification or similar practical knowledge
- Demonstrable experience as an Engineer within a similarly scaled organisation
- Strong experience supporting business‑critical applications and working with complex data sets
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE) at enterprise level, ideally with Azure, Dynamics, or Power Platform certifications
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and product owners to translate complex requirements into effective solutions
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM tools, and experience working in agile, waterfall, DevOps, and cross‑functional delivery environments (desirable: exposure to bespoke applications and charity or healthcare settings)
About the Role
- Lead P1 incident resolution to ensure rapid restoration of critical services
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions
- Design and deliver solutions aligned to business needs, including quality assurance and UAT support
- Manage change, deployment, and release processes to maintain service stability
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation and system schematics
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with hands‑on expertise in Dynamics 365 Sales, Power Platform, and SharePoint
