To deliver a world class experience of the Academy Curriculum on Terms 1-2 via face-to-face training, virtual and peer group led training to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities for New Partners and Financial Advisers within the SJP Financial Adviser Academy. Be expected to develop technical knowledge and knowledge of the SJP Partnership to deliver to Term 3 and Term 4 training with impact and gravitas in time.

To be an active and collaborative member of the Academy Training Team Inputting and helping the future design to reflect the latest thinking and training to increase standards and future productivity.

Monitor and capture the engagement and Impact of learning on the productivity and upskilling of our New Partners and Advisers. Ensuring that the content remains best in class and meets the evolving needs of the Academy.

raining will include regulatory, technical, and skills-based interventions which are delivered through a wide range of online media, residential face to face workshops, and 1:1 consultancy.

What you\’ll be doing:

  • Deliver first class training interventions face to face in regional locations, virtual training and peer group led training on Terms 1 – 4. This requires agility and flexibility to be deployed as required to meet the needs of the business.
  • Be proactive in keeping up to date with the knowledge and content of Terms 1-4 and be able to deliver and facilitate upskilling and competencies of new Partners and Advisers.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the business to identify and define development needs and help create effective solutions if required to support the enhancement of the training programme.
  • To undertake skills assessments with Partners and Advisers, to provide feedback and coaching in line with the standards required by the T&C scheme.
  • To create and develop project proposals in line with business needs, corporate initiatives, and product launches; manage the project to its conclusion and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions delivered.
  • As required, to provide 1:1 technical consultancy.
  • To ensure that a high level of business and technical knowledge is maintained. This includes products, legislation, regulation, compliance, the marketplace, management, and advisory skills.
  • Host webinars, events and other digital applications where required.
  • To positively change lives.

Nature and Scope of Impact:

  • This role has a large impact on the development of the New Academy Partners and Advisers for future productivity and is a central role within Establishment.
  • This key role impacts on adviser recruitment, retention, and performance. As such it impacts on the key strategic objectives of the business
  • Sets clear expectations of delegates and sponsors throughout the training.

Who we are looking for:

Job Knowledge:

  • Successful track record of training design and/or delivery in financial services, or possess the ability to use existing knowledge and presentation skills to develop into a Financial Services Trainer.
  • Experience of effective application of all aspects of the training cycle.
  • A recognised Learning and Development qualification or willingness and ability to work towards one, e.g., CIPD or TAP diploma.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of financial services ideally with advisory or adviser supervision exposure.
  • Excellent training delivery, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and contracting skills at all levels.
  • Able to constructively give and receive feedback.
  • Delivering development interventions to all target audiences.
  • Maintaining appropriate contact with other teams in the business.
