The role: To write, edit and create materials to help educate and inform SJP clients on issues concerning financial planning. With a focus on end consumers, this role will be dedicated to making technical concepts across financial products/interests relatable and easy to understand.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and write engaging, client friendly content that highlights the value of financial advice and planning.
  • Produce topical and campaign related content for newsletters, websites, social media, and client communications.
  • Own and maintain financial planning content across SJP corporate and Partner website platforms.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure supporting materials align with company announcements and client needs.
  • Ghostwrite for senior stakeholders, adapting to different personal styles and tones of voice.
  • Provide quick response articles following key industry events and conferences.
  • Collaborate across teams, supporting content strategy and execution while maintaining a high standard of storytelling.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify technical financial concepts for a broad audience.
  • Experience writing across multiple formats, including infographics, audio, and video scripts.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services, either as a pensions writer or personal finance journalist.
  • Solid knowledge of personal finance issues, UK financial advice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with B2B content creation and supporting financial services professionals.
  • Interviewing skills and experience in event reporting.
  • Knowledge of Consumer Duty principles and their application in financial communications.
  • Ability to adapt tone and messaging for different senior stakeholders.

Special Requirements: This role will require at least 2 days in either the Cirencester or London Offices and may require occasional visits to other locations - to attend meetings, conferences, and events.
