The Senior Enterprise Architect for the Salesforce Platform oversees the design and development of Salesforce solutions delivered by a panel of delivery partners to the organisation. They ensure that Salesforce architecture is scalable, secure, and optimized for efficiency. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
The role holder will ensure 3rd party alignment to SJP's architectural patterns, guardrails and principles and will develop a robust governance mechanism to assure delivery on the Platform is secure, well-structured and makes best utilization of the platform's capabilities, working with value stream and product owners, and the Technical Platform Owner.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop end-to-end Salesforce architecture and solutions to meet business goals.
- Create technical designs, workflows, and data models and ensure solutions adhere to best practices and comply with company standards.
- Salesforce Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.). Integrate Salesforce with other systems, using APIs, middleware, and other technologies. Oversee migration of legacy systems to Salesforce.
- Performance Optimisation: Monitor system performance and recommend improvements. Optimise Salesforce processes, ensuring scalability and reliability. Conduct code and system reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security protocols and ensure data privacy. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR.
- Continuous Improvements: Stay updated on Salesforce releases and new technologies. Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce for better business outcomes. Train and mentor team members on Salesforce best practices.
- Support the domain community: work closely with the programme/value stream solution architects to collaborate on and improve the Salesforce architecture methodology across SJP.
- Drive alignment of approach and deliverables between all EA and solution architects in the organisation, and external delivery partners, ensuring granular information produced to support individual value streams, programmes and projects is incorporated into the enterprise views and models where applicable.
- Assurance, Governance and Investment Planning Support: Participate in architectural assurance and governance processes, to ensure proposed initiatives do not negatively impact the Salesforce landscape, and fit with the agreed direction/strategy.
- Communicating the value of Salesforce Platform architecture and EA: Promoting and communicating the business value of Enterprise Architecture and the Salesforce Platform in the strategy to execution lifecycle.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Tackle discrete pieces of analysis to inform strategic decision-making at a business division or enterprise level.
