What you'll be doing:

This is a high-profile role at the centre of SJP's regulatory relationships. You will be the key contact point for regulatory bodies, helping to manage interactions, interpret policy developments, and support effective communication between the business and regulators. You'll contribute to shaping the firm's response to regulatory change and ensure consistent, compliant messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships and correspondence with FCA, PRA, and other regulators.
  • Lead and coordinate regulatory meetings, responses, and information requests.
  • Maintain a regulatory engagement plan and action log.
  • Provide advisory input and guidance across SJP regarding regulatory expectations.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with strategy and supports fair customer outcomes.

Who we're looking for:

You are an experienced compliance, risk, or regulatory affairs professional with strong stakeholder management skills. You bring a deep understanding of the UK regulatory environment and can confidently represent SJP in discussions with regulators while supporting the business to deliver good outcomes.

Skills & Experience:Essential:

  • Proven experience managing regulatory relationships in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA, PRA, SM&CR, and international regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to provide credible challenge and advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Track record of managing complex regulatory projects or engagements.

Desirable:

  • Experience leading teams or mentoring others.
  • Background in compliance monitoring or regulatory reporting.
  • Involvement in major regulatory change programmes.
