The role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Partnership Support team. This role sits within a wider team that supports our advisers and partners to deliver positive outcomes for clients.
You will lead a small national team and be responsible for making sure day to day work runs smoothly, consistently and to a high standard. The role combines people management, operational oversight and involvement in projects that affect how our partnership operates.
Who we\'re looking for
An organised and confident people manager who is comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative, able to lead multiple demands, remain calm under pressure and approach problems in a practical and solutions focussed way. A strong communicator who can adapt their style to different audiences and build effective working relationships with collaborators at all levels. You will be confident raising issues, challenging constructively and having difficult conversations when needed, while showing empathy and professionalism.
What you\'ll be doing
You will oversee day to day workflows across several areas of work, balancing competing priorities and making sure resources are used effectively.
You will directly support our national team, setting clear objectives, supporting development and acting as a role model.
You will focus on improving efficiency and consistency, using management information and operational data to identify issues and drive improvements.
You will support and deliver projects and change initiatives, including taking ideas from early planning through to face to face or virtual delivery.
You will help shape operational plans and contribute to wider management decisions and strategy.
You will make sure clear processes are in place, regularly reviewed and supported by effective training and competence arrangements.
You will handle sensitive cases with care and discretion, always keeping good client outcomes at the centre of decision making.
Essential Criteria
Operational management experience across complex, multi-channel workflows
Experience of management information (MI) and operational data to drive decision‑making
Practical experience leading regulatory or controlled processes
Experience of leading teams through operational change initiatives
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of SJP Partnership and Practices will hold distinct advantage
Demonstrable experience of people management
Exposure to a Finance or Corporate industry
Understanding of Consumer Duty‑related operational obligations
