The Role:

The AI Governance specialist supports the organisation’s responsible adoption of artificial intelligence by providing expert oversight across the full AI lifecycle, from use case due diligence and onboarding through to ongoing monitoring. The role ensures that third party AI tools are appropriately assessed, governed, and monitored to manage model risk, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations, while enabling safe and effective business use of AI technologies.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct end to end AI use case due diligence, including assessment, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring of third-party AI tools.
  • Perform hands on technical and risk reviews of AI solutions, including (but not limited to): Summarisation, Generative and content creation tools.
  • Assess AI model quality, performance, accuracy, hallucination risk, bias, and explainability.
  • Review, validate, and critically challenge AI vendors’ testing, validation, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Define and propose appropriate ongoing monitoring metrics, controls, service levels, and KPIs for AI tools in use.
  • Identify and document AI related risks, including data privacy, security, ethical, and regulatory risks, and support mitigation strategies.
  • Clearly communicate AI risks, limitations, and control considerations to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Procurement, and business teams to support informed decision making.
  • Provide expert input to senior accountability holders and governance forums.
  • Contribute to defining organisational standards and principles for “what good looks like” in responsible AI adoption and governance.

What we're looking for:

We’re seeking a highly skilled AI professional who is passionate about driving the design and advancement of innovative AI solutions. This role is predominantly technical, focusing on shaping impactful outcomes across the organisation. You will play a key role in influencing how AI tools are implemented and adopted, ultimately benefiting clients, the Partnership and employees.

You’ll bring strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI, governance, and regulatory concepts into clear, accessible language for a wide range of audiences—from technical specialists to senior business leaders.

  • Strong understanding of generative AI technologies, including large language models and common enterprise AI use cases.
  • Experience reviewing or evaluating third party AI solutions and vendors.
  • Practical knowledge and experience on AI risk areas and testing, and evaluation methodologies and their limitations.
  • Knowledge of GDPR requirements and data protection principles as they apply to AI systems.
  • Familiarity with data security, cyber security, and third-party risk considerations in the context of AI.
  • Awareness of emerging AI governance, ethics, and regulatory expectations.
  • Wealth Management Experience.
