The role: To lead on the design and development of the business strategy and future operating model for SJP's Investment proposition.
What you'll be doing:
- Evaluate current system and operational set up and benchmark against industry standards to identify effectiveness.
- Lead engagement with fund managers, industry peers and solutions providers on future solutions for wealth management and asset management.
- Determine efficiency drivers to reduce risk, cost and increase profitability of the investment proposition.
- Design options for future state to address current issues, improve client outcomes and deliver 2030 strategy.
- Stay up to date on evolutions in technology and industry trends to keep SJP at the forefront of development as an asset owner and manager.
- Support the Investments COTO with design and implementation of the five-year plan, working with the Head of Planning and Performance to compile the business case.
Who we're looking for:
Essential experience
- Proven experience in operating model design within asset or wealth management, with a strong understanding of investment propositions, industry regulations, trends, and technological advancements.
- Strong financial management experience, with expertise in cost efficiency analysis, risk reduction strategies, and profitability optimisation to enhance operational support for the investment proposition.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive strategic transformation and engage senior stakeholders, including Board-level presentations.
- Ability to identify and capitalise on innovative opportunities within asset and wealth management, leveraging industry trends and strategic insights to improve client outcomes and investment offerings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and within cross-functional teams to drive impactful change.
Desirable experience
- CFA qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- Experience in digital transformation and technology solutions in asset management.
- Exposure to global investment markets and multi-asset investment structures.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to new areas and learn on the job.
