This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Investment Product team, supporting the implementation of investment product related change. Whilst principally focused on mutual fund products; Unit-Linked funds, DFM and other third party investment services are in scope. You will manage the project lifecycle, manage risks and issues arising, engage with and influence a broad range of stakeholders, and direct tasks in order to deliver projects to required standards of quality, within agreed budgets and timescales.
What you'll be doing:
- Work with colleagues inside and outside the Investment Division to successfully deliver investment product change activity, aligned to the strategy and roadmap.
- Assist with the day to day management of implementation activity, including project plans, risks and issue logs, preparing and presenting progress / issues / budget to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Be aware of any relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the analysis and documentation of business requirements.
- Support with ensuring governance and controls in place to manage execution risk.
Who we're looking for:
Essential experience:
- Familiarity with investment products in the asset management industry, relevant fund structures and regulations.
- Understanding of project lifecycle management, including planning, execution, monitoring and closing projects efficiently.
- Experience preparing project reporting (including project and programme-level packs), supporting project / workstream meetings (including preparing agendas, minute-taking and communicating outputs), maintaining action logs and RAID logs.
- Aware of SJP's strategy, business drivers and how the investment offering supports the needs of Partners and Clients.
Desirable experience:
- Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, and assertively and diplomatically work with stakeholders to achieve the project objective.
- Ability to work alone to solve problems and appropriately escalate to seek support of others.
- Ability to positively work with others to achieve the right outcomes for the business.
- Strong communication skills including communicating technical matters concisely and presenting to build common understanding.
