Job Description This job is with St. James\’s Place, an inclusive employer and a member of myGwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. Please do not contact the recruiter directly. The role of Financial Accountant will have you assisting and managing the timely and accurate delivery of the Groups financial position. You will help support with reports, papers and more. You will also manage intercompany settlements, identify and implement efficiencies to our current processes. What you\’ll be doing: Support members of the Financial Reporting team as required Preparation of complex working papers Post financial journals as required Manages intercompany settlements Manages preparation and delivery of relevant management accounts Key role (e.g. Chair) in the relevant monthly entity review meetings (\”pre RtN\”) and preparation of numbers Prepares and understands financial controls Preparation of statutory accounts Review tagging of statutory accounts Manages production of regulatory returns (where applicable) Identifies efficiencies in processes and assists in implementing change Supports relevant consolidation journals Supports analytical reviews Supports in ad-hoc projects and investigations as required Essential Criteria Must be a part qualified accountant of a professional accounting qualification (if relevant, agree to the terms set out in the SJP \”Study Support Agreement\”). Good process and accounting knowledge Strong statutory accounting knowledge Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Special Requirements: Compliance with CPD requirements as set out by the relevant professional body
