This role focuses on delivering business application support for the ERP solution (Unit4 ERP, also known as Business World/Agresso), with a particular emphasis on finance modules. You will be responsible for incident investigation and resolution, ensuring the smooth operation of the system across key finance processes. In addition to support, you will contribute to system and process improvements through change requests and project work, while maintaining clear documentation and producing regular management information. You will play a key role in maintaining robust system controls, proactively identifying risks and ensuring effective processes are in place to support accurate and reliable financial operations. Working as part of the wider team, you will also handle more complex issues and escalations, support project delivery, and deputise for managers when required, helping to ensure a high-quality, consistent service.
What You'll Be Doing
- SME for ERP finance modules, undertaking month end and year end activities.
- Defining best practice, standards and documenting procedures for others to follow.
- Unit4 / Agresso ERP incident tracking, investigation and resolution including data maintenance and user maintenance within target SLAs.
- Provide face-to-face advice and assistance through liaison with a range of internal stakeholders.
- Routine maintenance, including monitoring of business-critical incoming interfaces, as well as the production of outbound interfaces.
- Liaison with 3rd party Application support providers - overall 3rd Party Service.
- Prototyping of Small Enhancements and performing unit testing.
- Deployment of development / small enhancements into Live, adhering to the Change Control process.
- Assist and support issue tracking and support team logs and statistics.
- Continuous improvement ideas to be shared with the team.
- Update and maintain Support team documentation and guidelines.
- Perform ad hoc activity to support wider ERP projects, developments and initiatives.
- Dealing with more complex issues, complaints and escalations.
Who We're Looking For
This opportunity would suit candidates with financial accounting and accounting systems or application support experience, looking for a rewarding career within system support at SJP.
Essential Criteria:
- Financial year end / month end accounting experience.
- Accounting systems or application support experience, knowledge of Systems Administration, Financials, P2P, S2C, Absence, Workflow Reporting and Workspaces.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- The ability to analyse issues, investigate the root cause and devise a resolution.
- Able to liaise with a range of internal stakeholders - internally and with the supplier.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required when dealing with users or other Support Teams.
- Continual development of SME capability.
- Understand and maintain appropriate security and general IT controls relevant to the system and the transactions it performs - learn and assist in the continual maturity of system controls and processes.
- Ability to rectify problems under difficult or high-pressure circumstances.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
