About the Role

We are seeking a Content Designer to join our Digital Channels and Content team, working at the heart of a cross-functional programme within the Tactical Administration Programme. This role is pivotal in improving the quality, structure and usability of content across our SharePoint intranet, helping colleagues and Partners access the information they need, when they need it. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, product owners and stakeholders across Advice, Products, Investments, Marketing, HR and other SJP teams, contributing your specialist content expertise to shared delivery outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work hands-on with subject matter experts to write, rewrite and migrate content into structured SharePoint pages, replacing document-led approaches where appropriate.
  • Translate complex and regulated information into clear, usable content that supports Partners and colleagues to make confident decisions, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in line with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Lead content audits across priority areas, identifying duplication, outdated or incorrect information, broken links and redundant content.
  • Design and improve end-to-end user journeys so content reflects how users actually complete tasks, not just internal team structures.
  • Shape and apply information architecture, navigation structures and content models across SharePoint sites.
  • Establish and embed page templates, metadata and naming conventions in line with agreed governance standards.
  • Use analytics, search data and user insight to inform content decisions, prioritisation and iteration.
  • Support SMEs to adopt sustainable BAU content practices, including ownership, review cycles and governance expectations.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable content patterns, guidance and standards for use across the organisation.
  • Act as a core delivery role within the Tactical Administration Programme, feeding insight, risks and recommendations into sprint planning and prioritisation.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive, delivery-focused Content Designer with strong writing skills and sound judgement. You’ll thrive in a matrix environment, collaborating with a range of stakeholders to deliver clear, accessible and governed content. Your experience working with complex, regulated information will enable you to make a real impact on the quality and usability of our intranet content.

  • In-depth knowledge of User Centered Design (UCD) principles, including writing for digital channels, structuring content for usability and designing for accessibility.
  • Strong practical experience of auditing, rewriting and migrating content at scale, particularly within complex or regulated environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of intranet or digital workplace platforms, with SharePoint experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain content decisions clearly to non-specialist audiences.
  • Familiarity with analytics, search insight and user research methods to inform content decisions.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts to translate complex, technical or regulated information into clear, usable content.
