About the role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Finance Project Manager to join our CFO Business Office, reporting to the Head of Finance Architecture. In this role, you'll lead Finance-led change initiatives. You will also manage Finance-related projects within larger enterprise-wide programmes. This helps deliver strategic business objectives while ensuring Finance regulatory, statutory, and control requirements are met.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with senior collaborators across the organisation, driving complex projects starting at the initial phase and continuing to successful implementation.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading Finance projects and Finance workstreams within wider business transformation programmes from initiation through to delivery.
  • Defining project scope, securing resources and establishing delivery plans that meet agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Managing and coordinating cross-functional project teams and subject matter experts to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring detailed project plans, ensuring milestones and results are achieved.
  • Identifying, assessing and proactively managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing activities, including the development of testing strategies and plans.
  • Managing project governance processes, including steering committees, working groups and stakeholder reporting.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to drive collaboration and engagement.
  • Managing changes to project scope, schedules and costs through effective governance and control frameworks.
  • Producing clear project documentation and providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between finance and programme teams, coordinating finance-related workstreams and ensuring delivery of changes across reporting, treasury, and finance processes.

About you

You'll be a highly organised and influential Project Manager with experience of delivering complex change initiatives within financial services. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, you'll have the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery while navigating a fast-paced and evolving environment. You'll bring strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, alongside a solid understanding of Finance functions and processes.

Essential criteria

  • Significant experience delivering complex projects and business change initiatives within a financial services environment.
  • Solid understanding of project delivery methodologies, project lifecycle management and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent collaborator management skills with capacity to influence and engage senior leaders across multiple business areas.
  • Financial services or Finance function experience, including an understanding of regulatory, statutory and financial reporting processes.

Desirable criteria

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Project.
