About The Role
Partner Finance plays a critical role in supporting the growth and succession of Partner businesses across the Partnership through its BSP and lending schemes. As Regulatory Change & Compliance Manager, you will be central to ensuring Partner Finance operates within regulatory requirements while continuing to deliver strong outcomes for Partners and clients. Working closely with the Head of Risk, Change & Regulatory Compliance, you will help shape how regulatory change is interpreted, implemented and embedded across the division, balancing compliance obligations with commercial priorities and risk appetite.
What you’ll be doing:
- Analysing, interpreting and advising on regulatory and legislative changes impacting Partner Finance, ensuring timely and effective implementation
- Ensuring the division meets, and where possible exceeds, regulatory obligations while operating within agreed risk appetite
- Owning and maintaining strong relationships with second and third line functions including Compliance, Group Risk and Internal Audit
- Monitoring the regulatory horizon and proactively informing senior management of upcoming changes and their potential impact
- Providing specialist compliance and regulatory advice on policies, processes and controls
- Preparing and presenting regulatory compliance papers and reports to Executive Committees
- Leading and contributing Partner Finance expertise to Group-wide regulatory and legislative change programmes
- Ensuring robust documentation, audit trails and governance are in place to support key regulatory decisions
Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced regulatory or compliance professional with a strong background in financial services who can operate confidently in a complex, regulated environment. You’ll be comfortable interpreting regulation, challenging existing practices and influencing senior stakeholders to drive meaningful change. With a strong sense of integrity and customer focus, you’ll balance regulatory compliance with commercial awareness to deliver sustainable outcomes for the business, Partners and clients.
Essential criteria:
- Proven experience leading compliance or risk initiatives within a regulated financial services environment
- A degree, postgraduate qualification or professional certification in risk management, compliance or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulation and frameworks, including Consumer Duty, conflict of interest, risk management and compliance controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
Desirable skills:
- Experience contributing to large-scale, organisation-wide regulatory or change programmes
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, effective business solutions
