The role:

We’re looking for an experienced Communications Lead to join SJP during an exciting period of change. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering compelling internal and partnership (Adviser) communications that support our business strategy and bring our culture and values to life. Working across a complex, matrix organisation, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to influence how our people connect to what we do and why it matters. You’ll ensure our communications are clear, consistent and impactful — driving understanding, confidence and engagement, helping employees feel informed, excited and confident about what’s ahead.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the activation and delivery of communications and content strategies aligned to SJP’s wider business goals.
  • Own and manage a robust editorial calendar, turning technical and strategic updates into compelling content across digital and offline channels.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders, subject matter experts and cross‑functional teams to develop communications that reinforce our strategy and strengthen our culture.
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end creation of multimedia content, partnering with designers, videographers, agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality assets.
  • Track performance and engagement, using insight and data to continuously improve our communications approach.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all communications reflect SJP’s tone of voice, narrative and values while genuinely engaging employee and Partnership audiences.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting and editorial judgement.
  • Proven experience supporting a broad range of internal communications through periods of organisational change or transformation.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and delivering content and communications strategies.
  • Strong editorial planning capability and experience using content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple communication streams while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
  • Experience delivering departmental or divisional communications within a matrix organisation.
  • IoIC, change communications or similar professional qualification.
