The main purpose of the Business Partner is to help priority Partners to scale their businesses profitably in support of shared objectives using MI and relationship management. This role involves the support and guidance of Partners in developing their knowledge, advice processes, business skills and their Practices in line with corporate and regulatory guidelines. Its aim is to encourage Partners to adopt appropriate strategy, operational activity and best practice leading to business growth and longevity. They must also ensure the achievement of their key objectives. The job holder is expected to conduct regular robust, in-depth, analytical reviews of the Partnersâ business throughout the year and to provide any relevant development and coaching required.
What youâll be doing
- Ensure risk and compliance requirements are met on client outcomes, with regular reviews and broader risk work to comply with the IARR expectations.
- Development of succession strategies to develop exit strategies succession MBI MBO
- Conduct People Management assessments to support the development of the business leadership and management teams.
- Execute Partner service and engagement strategy for the medium and HNW business segment in alignment with overall SJP Partner âofferâ
- Implement the âmodel office blueprintsâ for businesses by influencing the leadership team in the Partner Business Page 2 of 4
- Use MI to identify trends and opportunities to direct the strategy of the business
- Provide an efficient and digital single point of contact to all large business segment services across SJP ensuring the right focus of attention and support to SJPâs priority businesses
- Take a best practice approach to Business-to-Business relationship management with the Leadership teams of the largest SJP Businesses, ensuring a consistent and appropriate application of the approach is utilised to drive performance and delivery against KPIs.
- Drive profitable consolidation and growth opportunities working with other division heads and developing and leading the appropriate engagement with Recruitment for the businesses
- Drive and support through Team of Teams the Business planning a process for each business ensuring each of the largest businesses have a suitable plan
- Ensure Partner sentiment targets are met based on service / engagement
- Review, measure and assess the effectiveness of relationships and tangible ROI of each Partner business, identifying and delivering improvements to the ROI.
- Apply a consistent approach to business partnering including the utilisation of diagnostics, data and local intelligence to complement and inform relationship management capabilities which support positive outcomes.
- Understands I&D principles to drive better business outcomes, embedding these into business processes.
Skills we are looking for
- Skilled coach with Certificate in Advanced Coaching and Mentoring or equivalent experience.
- Responsible for managing the output and performance of the Partnership in line with our values and principles of treating our clients fairly (being both our internal (Partner and Adviser) clients and external clients).
- Ability to advise on enterprise strategy and business planning
- Leadership assessment
- Understands and can deploy the breadth of the SJP Proposition, based on understanding Partner needs.
- Ability to understand Partner development needs, using a motivator conversation
- Know how to build great rapport and strong relationships that are collaborative and deliver great outcomes
