Salary - Up to £45,000 pa depending on experience

An SJP Partner Practice in Hinckley, Leicestershire is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team. The Practice is highly successful and prides itself on offering a first-class service to all their clients, providing bespoke financial advice to existing clients and prospects in all areas of personal and corporate financial planning including retirement planning, investment planning, financial protection, mortgages, long term care, inheritance tax and estate planning.

This is an expanding and fast-paced business based in Hinckley, Leicestershire. You will be providing technical expertise to support and assist in this process, through undertaking detailed research and analysis of a wide variety of financial planning solutions, producing compliant advice sets and reports for the Financial Advisors / Partners to present to clients.

As the Paraplanner, you will be the go-to individual for advice on technical queries and your duties will focus on covering the full client journey, including conducting research to source suitable solutions; completing detailed and informative reports and liaising with the Administration team to ensure business is accurately processed and systems are correctly updated. There may be opportunities to attend or host client-facing meetings from time to time. You will always strive to produce well thought out and meaningful Client reports that demonstrate your attention to detail and understanding of their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting financial planners with research, analysis, and preparing financial plans for clients.
  • Assisting with the creation of investment strategies, retirement planning, tax strategies, and insurance recommendations.
  • Preparing reports, fact finds, and recommendations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining and updating client records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Staying up to date with changes in financial legislation, tax policies, and investment products.
  • Providing administrative support as needed and assisting in client-facing communications when required.
  • Experience using St. James's Place software and systems.
  • Experience using cash flow modelling software is preferable.
  • Strong experience and knowledge with Microsoft products.

Paraplanner Requirements:

  • You should be an experienced Paraplanner with great report writing skills.
  • Level 4 Diploma is desirable but not required if you have good paraplanning experience.
  • You will have experience of Life, Pension and Investment products.

  • Hybrid working is an option with 2-3 days a week after 3 months.
