The role:
This individual will play a key role in assisting with the operation of the Partner Finance division's MI platform. This will include supporting the delivery of monthly updates of the Groups £1bn lending scheme using Excel and PowerBi, and assisting with the enhancement of reporting and analysis functions.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintain existing reports to support the division's operational activities and ensure consistent data delivery.
- Provide timely MI reporting by ensuring all updates are completed promptly and deliver ad-hoc requirements as needed.
- Support MI development by enhancing data reporting through updates to PowerBI and Excel reports, ensuring they remain aligned with strategic needs and provide valuable insights.
- Support divisional projects by ensuring that updates and developments are accurately incorporated into PowerBI reports.
- Support change initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, assist in workflow improvements, and contribute to effective MI delivery using tools like PowerApps and SharePoint.
Who we're looking for:
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets, summarising and filtering data into report formats such as Pivot tables and graphs. Strong analytical skills are essential, and previous experience within finance is beneficial. Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau would be an advantage.
Essential Criteria
- Intermediate Excel skills – confidently able to create and use existing spreadsheets.
- Experience with Power Bi, including the ability to create, manage, and report using the tool, would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail – checks work continuously and asks questions.
- Innovative and solution focussed approach to problem solving.
- Good understanding of the SJP Group's business model, financials and ongoing strategy in order to tailor MI to best support strategic decisions and KPI tracking.
