The role:
We have an outstanding opportunity to join the UK’s largest wealth management business to support oversight of our Appointed Representative (AR) model. You will play a central role in crafting policy, establishing an approach dedicated to risk in our AR proposition and risk management across our Partnership. The Partnership is SJP's network of professional financial advisers. This role directly influences how we handle risk, ensures good client outcomes and enables the business to grow safely. Your impact will be highly visible and commercially meaningful.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a risk‑focused environment and who can interpret complex information to make clear, practical recommendations. You will be comfortable influencing, a strong team collaborator and support decisions that protect clients and strengthen our Partnership. You will bring good judgement, strong analytical capability, and a genuine interest in improving how risk is handled across a large adviser‑led network.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Governance, Risk and Controls Lead in developing, maintaining SJP's AR Oversight Policies
- Carrying out analysis, producing recommendations, and engaging collaborators on policy and proposition decisions
- Acting as a consistent point of contact for Group Risk, Field Risk, and wider business teams to support a collaborative approach
- Assisting with risk and control workshops, recognising potential future risks, and helping develop mitigation and control strategies
- Monitoring AR‑related risks, analysing MI (including Salesforce data), and highlighting trends or systemic issues
- Preparing board and governance documents, assisting with self‑assessment processes, and contributing to risk reporting
- Assisting with the development of training materials, procedures, and documentation to support the Risk Framework
- Completing root cause analysis on issues or events and recommending policy changes or control improvements
- Ensuring Risk Consultants and wider collaborators remain informed of emerging risks or policy developments
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working with risk, compliance, monitoring, or governance environment
- Ability to analyse MI and present clear, evidence‑based recommendations
- Experience drafting policy positions or risk‑related documentation or reports
Desirable Criteria:
- CII Level 4 qualification or equivalent
- Experience within an Appointed Representative/adviser/finance network model
- Knowledge of SJP governance, Field Risk processes, or similar operating models
