The hotel has an opportunity available for a Concierge Position. Your duties will include:

  • Provide a friendly, professional, and personalized welcome to all guests.
  • Handle guest enquiries and requests efficiently in person, by phone, and in writing.
  • Offer expert knowledge of hotel services, facilities, events, and local attractions.
  • Arrange transportation, luggage handling, postal services, and special guest requests.
  • Ensure accurate and secure handling of guest luggage, mail, packages, and keys.
  • Maintain awareness of arrivals and departures to anticipate guest needs.
  • Use property management systems (Opera / Opera Cloud) in line with procedures.
  • Promote hotel services and maximise revenue through up-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain excellent personal presentation and service standards at all times.
  • Support Porters and Front Office teams during busy periods.
  • Attend training and team meetings as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Previous experience as a Concierge in a luxury or 5-star hotel.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the local area and attractions.
  • Calm, organized, and professional under pressure.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

If you can demonstrate the following skills, that would be an advantage:

  • Experience using Opera / Opera Cloud PMS.
  • Good industry and local contacts.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Additional languages.

Your hours of work: Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the role is full-time, 40-hours per week. Working 5 out of 7, to a flexible rota with a 30-minute break included.
