About the role

We’re looking for a Carbon Analyst to join our Responsible Business (RB) team, where you’ll play a key role in helping shape and deliver our sustainability and carbon strategy. With a strong focus on carbon data, reporting, and environmental performance, this role supports a wide range of Responsible Business activities and contributes directly to meeting stakeholder and regulatory expectations. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you’ll help ensure sustainability is embedded into decision‑making and that our commitments are translated into measurable action.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collecting, analysing and managing sustainability and carbon data to support robust, compliant reporting.
  • Supporting annual ESG and sustainability reporting across multiple frameworks, including TCFD, CDP, UNSDGs, UN Global Compact, MSCI and Sustainalytics.
  • Engaging with subject matter experts across the business to gather data, assess reporting quality and mitigate greenwashing risk.
  • Assisting in the development and evolution of our Responsible Business strategic framework through materiality assessments and horizon scanning.
  • Monitoring regulatory, industry and stakeholder trends to anticipate future reporting requirements and sustainability expectations.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive awareness and engagement with sustainability initiatives.
  • Contributing insight and analysis to sustainability‑related Board papers and presentations.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a motivated and analytical sustainability professional with a strong understanding of carbon, environmental issues and ESG reporting. You’ll be someone who is comfortable working with complex data, translating insight into action, and influencing stakeholders across a large organisation. Equally important is a genuine commitment to responsible business practices and a desire to create positive outcomes for clients, colleagues and wider society.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of sustainability, Responsible Business, ESG and climate change principles, including carbon accounting methodologies.
  • Proven experience in data collection, analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret large volumes of quantitative and qualitative information.
  • Familiarity with key sustainability and regulatory reporting frameworks such as TCFD, CDP, UN Global Compact and related disclosure requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex sustainability concepts clearly and credibly to a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable skills:

  • A background in environmental science, sustainability or a related discipline.
  • Experience within financial services or knowledge of sustainability assurance and evolving regulatory requirements.
