A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Food and Beverage Supervisor at the St James Hotel. In addition to its 123 bedrooms, the hotel also boasts a lounge bar, restaurant area and conference facilities attracting both business and leisure based guests.
As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will assist and support the Food and Beverage Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, lounge bar and Pepys Bar to ensure a consistently high level of service offered to guests. This role also covers Duty Manager responsibilities.

What we expect:
- Assist in overseeing F&B operations, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, conference and wedding services.
- Provide and uphold a high standard of customer service within the department.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal cleanliness standards throughout the department.
- Lead by example to promote punctuality and adherence to company standards among all F&B team members.
- Maximise revenue opportunities through effective teamwork and team development.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and proactively address any issues that arise.
- Address all guest inquiries and complaints professionally and courteously within the department.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety practices.
- Fulfil Duty Manager responsibilities, ensuring smooth hotel operations during shifts, managing staffing levels, and conducting security checks.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, possess excellent communication skills, and be flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
This position offers a contract of 40 hours per week, with potential for part-time arrangements based on flexibility.
