Overall Purpose: As the Corporate Receptionist, you will be permanently based on the reception desk covering the front of house function within this flagship building. This is a brand-new building with high visibility, where senior clients visit on a frequent basis and the owner is based. You will be responsible for setting up processes and procedures as well as assisting with viewings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership and accountability of the reception and all associated areas, ensuring they are kept in the best possible order at all times, liaising with cleaners, facilities, security and other departments as necessary.
- Ensure the St James folder, manual, occupiers procedures, phone database are up to date. Deliver monthly reports and appropriate FOH data as required.
- Act as the first point of contact for all guests, visitors, occupiers and clients to the building, addressing all questions and queries.
- Be responsible for meeting and greeting all guests and visitors into the building, providing exceptional service. Standing to greet as a basic standard.
- Receive/answer calls promptly and efficiently, identifying callers' requirements and transferring calls as appropriate.
- Manage difficult calls and/or distressed callers in a calm and professional manner.
- Report accidents or incidents where appropriate.
- Create and lead on the events calendar, pop ups and freebie Fridays for the building.
- Ensure the reception area is kept organised, clean and tidy at all times.
- Adhere to St James policies and procedures, code of conduct and be fully conversant with emergency procedures related to Health & Safety issues.
- Manage the ground floor Club room.
- Work closely with the Guest Services Manager.
- Perform any other duties as deemed necessary to support the client, customer, colleagues and St James.
Knowledge And Skills:
- Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
- Hospitality experience is desirable.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel is essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, flexible to work with a range of styles and personalities according to business demands.
- Excellent punctuality, outgoing and a can-do/proactive attitude.
- Innovative and creative.
