About this role

The Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust are looking for a PE/Sports Coach to join the staff team at St James Academy. Are you passionate about sports and physical education in school? We are currently seeking a PE/Sports Coach to deliver the PE curriculum and provide a range of extra‑curricular sports clubs and activities across all age groups.

Main Responsibilities

  • Passionate about PE and school sports.
  • Enjoy working with children and developing the academy’s physical activity offer.
  • Have previous coaching experience (essential).
  • Lead PE lessons, lunch and playtime activities, clubs and events to raise the profile of PE and school sport in schools (under the guidance of the academy’s PE Lead).
  • Lead the academy’s participation in local sporting competitions.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures and handle confidential information.
