We are looking for a candidate who has a deep passion for Economics and Business, is forward thinking, innovative and has excellent subject knowledge. As a department, Economics and Business offer a range of pathways to suit all students, and as such are one of the most popular option subjects at both KS4 and KS5, with Economics A Level being one of our largest A Level subjects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Economics and Business department, will have an in depth understanding of successful economics and business pedagogy and will have achieved highly successful outcomes in their subject area. We currently offer A Level Economics and GCSE Business Studies. Student outcomes are continuously improving, and many of our students go on to study Economics or Finance-related degrees at some of the top universities in the UK. This post offers exciting opportunities to lead on some of the enrichment activities offered in the departments including coordinating a Young Enterprise group, as well as making links with a number of external agencies and visiting speakers
