An exciting opportunity to make a difference
Crompton House Church of England Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Executive School Business Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across St Hugh’s CE Primary School and St Paul’s CE Primary School in Oldham.
This is a key role within both schools, working closely with Headteachers, senior leaders, governors and Trust central teams to ensure that our financial, operational and business functions are effective, compliant and focused on supporting excellent education.
About our schools
St Hugh’s CE Primary School is a one-form entry school serving Holts Village on the outskirts of Lees. With around 200 pupils, St Hugh’s is a welcoming and inclusive school where children are at the heart of everything we do. Its vision, “Let all that you do be done in Love”, so that you can “Be the change you want to see in the world,” reflects its commitment to high aspirations, Christian values and developing confident, responsible young people.
St Paul’s CE Primary School is a one-form entry school in Royton, with Nursery provision and an Additional Resourced Provision supporting children with autism and speech, language and communication needs. Its vision, “In Jesus, Together We Grow, Love to Learn and Shine Make a Difference,” reflects its strong commitment to inclusion, community and the development of the whole child.

About the role
The Executive School Business Manager will lead and develop the business and operational functions across both schools, including:
- Finance and strategic budget management
- HR and workforce support
- Procurement and contract management
- Estates, premises, health and safety
- Compliance, risk and safeguarding systems
- Administration, information and data management
- IT and digital services
- Educational visits and operational support
We are looking for someone who is strategic, organised, financially astute and solutions-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage competing priorities.
You will be someone who can identify opportunities to improve systems, maximise value for money and ensure that resources are used effectively to support the schools' priorities.
