Responsibilities

  • Cover the start of the day and register/dismiss students in class
  • Teach the content of lessons set by the absent teacher
  • Ensure students remain on task
  • Mark any completed work in accordance with school policy
  • Ensure high standards of behaviour in line with school policy
  • Supervise students during break/lunch periods
  • Support school events (often after school or on Saturdays)
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students and adhere to and ensure compliance with the School's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
  • Work within the School's health and safety policy to ensure a safe environment for staff, students and visitors
