Willow Bank School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative Learning Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued. Our school is a day maintained special school for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties in the borough of St Helens, Merseyside. We cater for 71 young people from Year 4 to Year 11. We are a highly inclusive and innovative establishment.
We are looking for someone who:

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and occasional classroom support for pupils with complex needs, who can, at times, present with challenging behaviours. Experience of supporting children to regulate and engage in learning and activities is essential, along with a willingness to participate in Team Teach training. Individuals with relevant experience from settings other than education are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that pupils’ special educational needs are addressed in line with the pupil’s individual EHCP whilst having due regard for the school’s philosophy and policies. This post is fixed term until 31/08/2027 in the first instance - subject to SEN Funding.
