Lansbury Bridge is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative 1:1 Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued. This post is Fixed Term and ends when the child leaves Lansbury Bridge School. The role is to support a pupil with complex medical needs.

Experience of working with children with SEN and ASC/behavioural difficulties would be an advantage. Lansbury Bridge School is a generic special school which caters for 240 children and young people, aged 4-14. All of our pupils have complex needs and have an EHCP in place. The majority of our pupils have profound, severe or moderate learning difficulties while over 50% also have a diagnosis of ASC. Some have additional sensory, physical and medical difficulties.

We have high expectations of our staff and this supports the best outcomes for our wonderful pupils. If you are child centred, hard-working and of a positive disposition, we'd love to hear from you. Routine, structure and the support of consistent staff is of great benefit for our pupils, therefore reliable staff with great attendance records are encouraged to be a part of our team.

Purpose of the Role

To work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs. Enabling access to learning for all pupils, assistance and support in classroom management and behaviour techniques and providing specialist support in a specific curricular/resource area. Supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers with agreed lessons plans in place. Provide short-term cover to enable Planning, Preparation and Assessment time to be effectively managed. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant there is an expectation that you have the confidence and organisational skills to support and direct colleagues as instructed by the Teacher.
