We welcome applications from experienced Social Workers for this permanent position within the Adult Social Work Team, which is responsible for adults aged 18 to 67 with a Learning Disability, Physical Disability, or Severe and Enduring Mental Health Need.
Responsibilities
- Carry a complex caseload comprising clients from all team groups.
- Undertake investigations under Safeguarding, Assessments including those under the Care Act, Care Planning and Reviewing.
- Conduct legal work in collaboration with the Council's Legal Team.
- Support AMHPs when undertaking Mental Health Act assessments in community and hospital settings (AMHP rota runs until 8 pm Monday‑Friday).
- Collaborate closely with Merseycare, the homelessness service and outreach partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult social care.
- Qualified AMHP, BIA or Practice Educator, or willingness to undergo specific training.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
