Our Social Workers are pivotal to our teams. In Adult Services you will undertake needs‑led assessments and provide specialist support to adults and their carers, service users, and colleagues. It is essential that you have a knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and guidance, risk factors and difficulties relevant to client groups, an understanding of rehabilitation processes (particularly in relation to older people), knowledge of user and carer issues, and a thorough understanding of the care management process.

You will also need experience of developing care packages, working with older/disabled people, and working in a multi‑agency setting. CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or a BA (Hons) in Social Work is essential, and you must be willing to undertake all essential training. The post requires regular attendance at the St Helens office and travel around St Helens and surrounding areas. This is an Enhanced Disclosure post. The post requires Social Work England registration and a driving licence with access to a vehicle.
