The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated and qualified Housing Standards Officer to join our busy Housing Standards Team. The post will require the successful applicant to work with vulnerable tenants, landlords and a range of agencies in order to ensure compliance with housing standards and HMO licence requirements.
The ideal applicant will have a thorough knowledge of housing standards legislation and building construction. This will include an excellent understanding of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System and its application with previous practical experience of housing enforcement.
The successful candidate will enable housing and community improvements through proactive work with landlords, tenants and other stakeholders, and will progress cases to enforcement action as necessary. Other key skills required for the post include a high standard of computer literacy, as well as the ability to prioritise, plan and manage complex projects to a satisfactory conclusion.
This post would suit experienced Housing Standards Officers or qualified EHOs looking to extend their housing knowledge and experience. This role allows for hybrid working, combining working from home with access to an agile work hub and the undertaking of site visits and inspections of properties across the borough.
