The Education Welfare Service is a statutory service that offers a quality provision to children, their families, and schools. The service aims to enable children and young people to benefit from the educational opportunities available. This is an exciting time to become part of the EWS team, due to the implementation of new legislation and priorities. The Authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by supporting schools with welfare concerns, as well as having their own professional curiosity and acting upon it appropriately.

Responsibilities
