You will lead, champion and drive the local authority's commitment to inclusion. You will use your expertise to promote positive practice, provide advice and guidance, whilst supporting the council to develop, implement, and monitor policies and practices that promote a diverse and inclusive environment for all.
Supporting our Principal Policy Lead you will share your knowledge and expertise helping to ensure the council meets its duties and commitments whilst developing key organisational strategies and policies with positive impact and facilitating collaborative networks to strengthen the organisation’s understanding of key policies and strategies affecting the borough of St Helens.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to support the work of our Community Engagement Team through hosted events and workshops alongside community groups and local stakeholders to support communities and promote inclusion across our Borough and beyond.
You will have experience in a policy role and bring a strong understanding of legislation relating to local government, communities, and equalities, diversity and inclusion and best practices. You will have a good understanding of local authorities and bring policy development, training and implementation expertise. A strong communicator you will influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
