YPDAAT is a well established team who share a passion for preventing and reducing drug or alcohol use among young people through proactive engagement, creative and effective interventions and trauma–informed programmes that place young people at the heart of everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Provide specific interventions to young people at risk of harm due to drug or alcohol use.
- Assess needs, write reports, plan interventions and review the effectiveness of the supervision process.
- Engage with multi‑agency professionals and liaise with services to build good relationships that support the young person’s plan.
- Prioritise workload and maintain case and data recording systems.
- Adapt to changing situations and work occasionally evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience working with young people and the ability to deal with challenging situations.
- Skilled and confident in delivering interventions in a wide range of settings such as schools, colleges, large groups and professional training.
- Evidence of a professional qualification relevant to working with children.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Proficient in using case and data recording systems.
- Good working knowledge of safeguarding procedures, including Child Criminal and Sexual Exploitation.
Working Conditions
Work with a diverse caseload of children and young people, often requiring occasional evenings and weekends.
