We are St Helens Borough Council located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire. St Helens is a modernising Council which is passionate and ambitious for the children and families we support, our communities and our workforce. Abbeyford Children's Home is currently rated "Outstanding in all areas" by our regulator Ofsted. Abbeyford Children's Home require a Cook to work 10 hours per week. The role requires a person with the skills to buy the ingredients to prepare and cook a varied menu of healthy and nutritious meals for children and young people who have learning disabilities and associated health needs. All food will need to be freshly prepared each day and the successful candidate will need to be able to prepare a wide variety of foods catering for different dietary requirements. This role will be worked over two days a week and will involve working every other weekend. The role also requires the cook to maintain the kitchen and meet all regulatory standards.
