St Helena are looking for 2 Marketing Officers to join the Marketing team, working full time Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job:
- Support the planning and delivery of cross-channel marketing and comms campaigns and activity as directed by your Marketing Manager.
- Plan and create high quality, engaging, audience focused content written and multimedia using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud products, Mailchimp for a variety of channels including website, social media, email communications etc.
- Ensure all content is in line with St Helena's brand, tone of voice and accessibility standards.
Job responsibilities:
- Broad Marketing Communications Experience - Proven experience delivering multichannel marketing activity, including marketing communications, digital, email and social media campaigns, from concept to execution. Comfortable working across both online and offline channels and contributing to integrated campaigns.
- Strong Graphic Design & Brand Management Skills - Confident producing high quality, on-brand marketing materials using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro) and Canva. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand quality, consistency and best practice at all times.
- Digital, Social Media & Email Marketing Capability - Hands-on experience using digital and social media platforms as effective marketing channels, supported by strong email communications skills. Confident working with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, CMS platforms and email marketing systems (e.g. Mailchimp) to plan, schedule, monitor and optimise activity.
- Creative Content Creator - Able to create engaging digital and printed content, including graphics, imagery, video and written copy, tailored to different audiences and platforms. Confident capturing high quality images and video using cameras or smartphones to support campaigns and storytelling.
- Organised, Analytical & Results Focused - Highly organised with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and working to budgets. Experience tracking, reporting and evaluating marketing activity, using insight and data to inform future communications.
- Excellent Communicator & Collaborative Team Player - An effective and persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal skills. Works confidently as part of an integrated team, contributing ideas, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders, and communicating sensitively and professionally in a hospice environment.
- Values Led, Creative & Self Motivated - A positive, creative and self-motivated individual who brings ideas and solutions, even when resources are limited. Demonstrates a genuine commitment to understanding the hospice, its values and its community, and is passionate about producing high quality marketing that makes a meaningful impact.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Professional marketing qualification or relevant experience, Driving License, Marketing degree or professional certificate in marketing, At least three A levels, including English.
- Experience: Previous experience of working in marketing and/or PR, Proven track record in planning, managing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns, including direct marketing, from concept to delivery, Working within an integrated team, Working with social media and digital platforms as a marketing channel, Working to budgets, Previous experience of tracking and reporting on digital activity, Working with volunteers, Working in a not-for-profit environment, Familiarity with professionals in the health and social care sector, Confident using a digital camera to capture high quality imagery and video, Confident using a smartphone to capture high quality imagery and video, Experience working as part of a small in-house team, developing marketing materials and campaigns with limited resources demanding creativity and excellent project management skills.
