Main duties of the job include maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across the hospice, cleaning clinical spaces, offices, toilets, and communal areas. The role requires the ability to work in a sensitive environment, key holder responsibilities, and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Time management skills to prioritise effectively.
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum clean floors.
  • Wipe down and sanitise contact areas and surfaces.
  • Empty bins and replace bin bags.
  • Replenish supplies i.e. toilet roll, linen and paper towels.
  • Follow cleaning procedures and NHS safety guidelines.
  • Report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations, including clocking in/out procedure.
  • Complete company training.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of cleaning preferred but not essential.
