We are looking to recruit a full time Lottery Marketing Officer to work within our marketing and lottery teams, Monday to Friday. The Lottery Social Media, Digital & Graphics Marketing Officer is responsible for delivering high-impact, multi-channel marketing activity that drives supporter recruitment, engagement and retention. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with responsibility across digital acquisition, content creation, supporter journeys and graphic design for print and digital campaigns.

The role will play a key part in improving digital performance while supporting partners to effectively promote the lottery to their own audiences. The role requires a commercially minded marketer with creative capability and a proactive approach to testing and optimising campaigns including transferring knowledge gained to the rest of the organisation.

Your Hospice Lottery and Make a Smile Lottery are weekly charity lotteries that raise vital funds for hospices and good causes across the UK. Players enter for the chance to win prizes while supporting essential care, wellbeing services, and community initiatives, making a direct and meaningful difference. You will help communicate the impact and purpose of these lotteries, engaging partners and players as well as growing support through effective campaigns and storytelling.

This role sits within the wider St Helena Marketing team, benefiting from the team’s shared culture, collaboration and expertise. While the post has a specific focus on lottery marketing, the successful candidate will work as part of the broader marketing function, contributing to and benefiting from a joined-up team approach.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 pa

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: St Helena Hospice, Colchester & remote

What we’re looking for:

  • Broad Marketing Communications Experience: Proven experience delivering multi‑channel marketing activity, including marketing communications, digital, email and social media campaigns, from concept to execution. Comfortable working across both online and offline channels and contributing to integrated campaigns.
  • Strong Graphic Design & Brand Management Skills: Confident producing high‑quality, on‑brand marketing materials using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro) and Canva. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand quality, consistency and best practice at all times.
  • Digital & Social Media Capability: Hands‑on experience using digital and social media platforms as effective marketing channels, supported by strong email communications skills. Confident working with tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, CMS platforms to plan, schedule, monitor and optimise activity.
  • Organised, Analytical & Results‑Focused: Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and working to budgets. Experience tracking, reporting and evaluating marketing activity, using insight and data to inform future communications.
  • Values – Led, Creative & Self‑Motivated: A positive, creative and self‑motivated individual who brings ideas and solutions, even when resources are limited.
