Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic graduate to join a vibrant and successful department in supporting the delivery of PE within the School. The post is for the academic year 2026-2027 on a fixed-term basis. The successful applicant will be willing to carry out a wide range of duties in support of the PE department and contribute to the provision of extracurricular sports. It would be advantageous to be able to coach two of the major sports of football, netball, lacrosse, tennis, athletics and cricket.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and teach a variety of activities in lessons, including leading small groups of students or certain aspects of lessons as appropriate.
  • Coach teams and clubs during mornings, lunchtimes, after school sessions and on weekends, as deemed appropriate by the Director of Sport.
  • Attend fixtures and umpire appropriate matches, including weekends, as deemed appropriate by the Director of Sport.
  • Assist with some administrative duties to support the department.
  • Take an active role within the department and share responsibilities, including attending department meetings.

Requirements

  • Willing to coach two of the major sports among football, netball, lacrosse, tennis, athletics and cricket.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening and checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
