St Gregory’s RC Primary School is currently seeking a HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust. The post-holder will be required to lead our internal SEND provision under the direction of the SENDCo. Our provision currently supports a number of pupils, enabling them to access high quality teaching alongside carefully planned inclusion. You will work closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to ensure each pupil achieves their full potential.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has a proven track record of working with children with a wide range of educational needs.
- Is passionate about learning and able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims, purpose and ethos of our diverse school.
- Will be an effective communicator with all members of the school community.
- Will be responsible for planning learning opportunities for children within our internal provision with the support of our SENDCo.
- Has a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practices.
- Has experience of working within EHCPs and multi-agency working.
- Has knowledge of specific interventions or approaches (e.g. Attention Autism).
- Is flexible in their approach, open to new ideas and a team player.
- Has effective behaviour management skills and an understanding of trauma informed approaches.
