Must be a UK Citizen with minimum 5 years unbroken residency.
Owning end‑to‑end solution design (networking, security, identity, compute, storage, observability), delivering all IaC, maintaining CI/CD, and producing operational and governance documentation.
Aligning role with Microsoft Support and Customer Success, acting as the single point of contact for escalations, architecture reviews, and proactive service improvements.
Communicating design and build inputs and improvements effectively to Microsoft teams.
Overseeing technical excellence within the engineering team by identifying gaps and ensuring quality, while maintaining clear communication with senior clients and internal stakeholders regarding technical progress and issues.
Required skills (1/2):
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Architecture Design and/or Cloud Architectural Patterns for Development
- Experience leading other Cloud Architects
- Advanced knowledge of Azure (other cloud provider is a plus)
- Solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing, and architecting cloud solutions.
- Windows and/or Linux sys op background
- Previous experience in design & delivery of systems based on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
- DevOps skills for leading the team and consulting the customer
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of security, network, virtualization, load balancer, storage, and database
- Container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Hands-on experience with IaC for managing the cloud
Required skills (2/2):
- Coding/scripting skills (Bash, Python, Powershell, or similar)
- Experience operating in Agile delivery environments, working in multi-disciplinary teams, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
