Overview
St Giles Spencer Academy seeks a Level 3+ Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time only, permanent position to start as soon as possible.
Experience supporting non-verbal pupils with autism and sensory needs is advantageous.
Candidates should be calm, creative, and have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
Responsibilities
- Support learning and development of pupils with additional needs, including non-verbal pupils with autism and sensory needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized learning plans and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment; participate in outdoor and messy play as appropriate to learning.
Qualifications
- Level 3+ Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly autism and sensory processing challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team; a calm, creative approach to learning and behavior support.
