Unity Education Trust seeks a calm and reliable adult with strong communication skills to support children for 1.25 hours each day as a Midday Supervisory Assistant at St Germans Academy. Midday supervisors support the children by serving their lunches, supervising play indoors and outdoors, and clearing away food safely.
Responsibilities:
- Serve lunches and manage food distribution.
- Supervise children’s play inside and outside.
- Clear food safely and help maintain a healthy environment.
- Provide a firm but fair approach, communicating effectively and appropriately with young people.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience and resilience to meet the challenges of supporting pupils.
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
- Adherence to the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and completion of a declaration form.
- Safeguarding screening, including Disclosure & Barring Service checks.
- Compliance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) – fluent English.
