Overview
In this role you will lead the development of consistent, transparent financial processes for the postgraduate research community.
You will work across the Doctoral College, Schools and professional services to drive operational excellence, enhance management information and reporting, and support strategic decision-making.
You will oversee financial records and payments for PGR activity, acting as the subject matter expert in postgraduate research finance.
You will influence practice and compliance while supporting the Doctoral College’s strategic direction.

Responsibilities
- Lead development and improvement of financial processes and services for PGR activities
- Oversee financial record management and reporting across Schools and Research Centres
- Act as PGR finance SME, guiding colleagues and promoting best practice
- Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and institutional requirements
- Manage administration of studentships, payment processes and accurate record-keeping
- Collaborate with Finance, Research and Innovation Services and cross-functional teams
- Contribute to strategic direction and priorities of the Doctoral College as Management Team member
