We welcome applications for a Specialist Diabetes Podiatrist to join our Multi‑disciplinary (MDT) Foot Team at the Thomas Addison Diabetes Department at St George’s Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide enhanced practice in assessment, diagnosis and management of complex diabetes‑related lower limb conditions.
  • Integrate and communicate regularly with specialty MDT colleagues including diabetes medics and nurses, infection diseases, vascular surgeons and nurses, orthopaedic surgeon, interventional radiology, psychology and community specialities.
  • Co‑ordinate and implement holistic care plans in line with MDT support.
  • Participate in structured training and obtain competency sign‑off for advanced care therapies such as topical negative pressure therapy and total contact casting.
  • Engage in service improvement work and support the implementation of innovative treatments for patients with diabetes foot infections.
  • Take advantage of rotational and development opportunities within outpatient and inpatient settings.
